About the role
We’re looking for a practical, pro-active and reliable Security & Facilities Support Officer to join our small but busy Support Service team. You’ll help us to make our offices a safe and welcoming environment for colleagues, stakeholders and tenants.
What you’ll do:
- Take pride in our building, making it a welcoming space through a highly visible and professional security presence, deterring anti-social behaviour (ASB) and enforcing building rules and policies.
- Monitor staff passes, challenge unauthorised access in a professional manner, monitor CCTV systems, conduct regular patrols and respond to suspicious activity, incidents, alarms and emergencies.
- Liaise with internal teams, management and emergency services, support evacuation procedures and fire safety processes, and manage incidents involving unauthorised access or unacceptable behaviour.
- Maintain accurate records, assist with the Council’s safety management system and personal safety register, undertake administrative duties, carry out routine building checks, and complete any other reasonable tasks as part of the Support Services team.

This is a full-time, permanent position.
