About the Team and Role
We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Administrator to join us on a full time, permanent basis in Children’s Social Care. This post sits within the Fostering Service, and the successful candidate will lead the Business Support function within the Fostering Panel and Kinship Teams. The role involves direct line management of seven Team Administrators.
Our fostering teams support the assessment and approval of Kinship Foster Carers in accordance with statutory timescales, facilitate Fostering Panels and associated decision-making processes, and provide comprehensive administrative support to carers, applicants, social workers and team managers.
Duties will include
- Oversight of completion of Business Support tasks
- Supervision with team members and Personal Development Reviews
- Performance and Absence Management
- Allocation, tracking and quality checking work
- Use of data to drive performance
- Attendance at service management meetings
- Supporting bespoke projects
About You
As a Senior Administrator you will also be expected to work with Team Managers and Service Leads as well as delivering training to Team Administrators and attending Management Meetings. You will, therefore, need to have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate a flexible approach with an ability to manage your workload to meet deadlines. The nature of the work is handling highly sensitive information which can sometimes be distressing so resilience is also key to this role.
