Deputy Head of Teaching, Learning and Improvement

About this role

As Deputy Head of Teaching, Learning and Improvement, you will support and inspire staff to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the College. Working closely with colleagues, you'll share best practice, deliver training and coaching, and help develop innovative teaching approaches that enable all learners to succeed. A key focus of the role is supporting industry professionals as they transition into teaching, providing mentoring and development to help them become confident and effective educators. You'll champion inclusive practice, safeguarding, equality and diversity, while working with leaders and stakeholders to continuously enhance the quality of education and ensure staff are equipped to deliver outstanding learner experiences.

About You

• Ability to inspire and support colleagues to improve teaching practice.
• Level 5 teaching qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience of delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
• Experience of mentoring staff and carrying out supportive teaching observations.
• Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning approaches.
• Experience of helping others develop and improve their practice.
• Commitment to sharing good practice and innovative teaching methods.
• Experience working in post-16 education.
• Ability to produce clear and accurate quality of education reports.
