The Role

As a GP within our practice, you will:

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Contribute to continuous improvement and service development
• Support preventive healthcare and population health initiatives
• Maintain excellent clinical standards and patient experience

Controlled Workload GPs have 15 minute appointments,58% clinically facing work, 28% admin and 14% CPD/paid breaks (lunch)Standard sessions have 12 consultations.

Job responsibilities

Primary care clinician duties, including (but not limited to) face to face consultations, video consultations, telephone consultations, e-consultations and queries. Also, home visits, duty doctor/on-call responsibilities, clinical administration, prescribing, and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Acting as Named GP for a share of registered patients proportionate to contracted hours.

Complying with the General Medical Councils Good Medical Practice and other standards for doctors

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential

• Undergraduate degree in Medicine or GMC-recognised equivalent
• Current registration with General Medical Council and on GMC GP register
• On National Performers List
• MRCGP or equivalent
• Level 3 safeguarding training up to date or, if lapsed, willing to ensure training up to date before commencing post

Skills

Essential

• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Competent in use of SystmOne or Willing to become competent in use of SystmOne if not already
• Competent in the use of Office and Outlook
• Ability to follow policy and procedure
• Able to identify and resolve risk management issues according to policy or protocol
• Effective time management
• Ability to work as a team member and autonomously
• Good interpersonal skills

Experience

Essential
