The University operates agile working arrangements. You will be expected to work flexibly across our campuses in Cheltenham and Gloucester, with the expectation that you will be on campus at least 3 days per week.
Student Recruitment and Insights Department
The Student Recruitment & Insights department shapes, develops and implements the University's insight driven student recruitment and admissions strategies, ensuring a professional, engaging and seamless experience for every applicant.
The department provides a vital role in ensuring that the University attracts, converts and enrols outstanding cohorts of domestic and international students across the University's diverse portfolio of courses. It engages widely with enquirers, applicants, schools, colleges, local and regional communities, international partners and agents. It shapes our domestic and international applicant journeys from enquiry or application through to enrolment and course induction, provides data analysis and insight to stakeholders throughout the University, and supplies data on our students and staff to regulatory bodies.
About the role
Reporting to the Director of Student Recruitment and Insights, you will lead our Admissions and Applicant Experience team to deliver an efficient, positive, and effective admissions service for both domestic and international applicants.
Working closely with our Academic Schools and our recruitment, marketing, and events teams, you'll ensure that the customer-focused admissions experience for applicants positively impacts on applicant choice, conversion and registration onto programmes at the University. You'll lead on the development, implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement of admissions related policies and procedures, foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, act as the University's primary UCAS contact, and provide subject-matter expertise and advice to help direct University strategy.
The successful candidate will be confident working with stakeholders across the university, managing and inspiring people, and representing the University of Gloucestershire in outward-facing events. You will be an experienced organiser with knowledge of recruitment or admissions functions at a UK university, strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Experience of leading staff and developing effective administrative services will be essential.
